I couldn't get my timing right either , had to clock the cas all the way on my last engine . Every place I checked timing from gave me a different reading . It wasnt until I ran a spark plug wire between the number one plug and the coil pack that I finally got a true reading of 15* with the cas right in the middle . I never had a timing problem just a false reading . I don't remember you mentioning if your car was running poorly or not . How does the car run with the cas set in the middle of the adjustment ? Mine ran great with the cas set in the middle so it was confusing that the mech timing seemed to be so far off . I Finally realized there was no problem and moved on with peace of mind.
